OpenBCI

OpenBCI is the de facto standard for open-source BCI hardware and software, founded by Joel Murphy and Conor Russomanno after a successful Kickstarter campaign. The company releases all hardware schematics and firmware under open-source licenses, enabling a global community of researchers, developers, and students to build BCI applications. The OpenBCI ecosystem includes the Cyton biosensing board, Ultracortex headset, and the Galea multi-modal biosensing headset — the first device integrating EEG, EMG, EDA, PPG, and eye-tracking into a single AR/VR-compatible headset. OpenBCI partnered with Pupil Labs to create an untethered all-in-one brain, body, and eye tracking headset.
